Cade UK 2009 Christmas Letter

What's happened in 2009? So much!

This is the year that all three of The Boys started playing for football teams (weekends are busy in a whole new way). This is the year that Ian reached the milestone where he cycles to school without his Mum trailing behind (which means more independence for both of them!).  Of course this is the year when Simon moved up to Secondary School and Lucy's counting down the years until our time at Mayfield Primary ends (It'll be 11 years when Ian finishes in 2011).  The annual Summer Fayre and International Evening were intense but fun--as always.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Kevin, Lucy & The Boys

Dad & Kris (images in 2005/XMasLetter or something similar)

We all enjoyed the Boys' First American Christmas with Kevin's folks, and we're already getting ready to get our tickets to go back next Christmas (prices are so much cheaper when you book waaay early!).     Hello from Cambridge & from the UK Cades.  Hope you and your loved-ones are all doing well and we hope you have a nice and relaxing Christmastime this year.

Crawley's House: 6 Boys Overnight!

Lucy's old college friends Smiler & Phil invited us to visit them in London, and we all had a ball!  Kevin loved getting to know Phil and "Geek-Out" about computers, the internet, etc.  Sarah's homemade bread inspired Lucy to get into bread-making for herself.

Christmast Letter 2003

Toward the beginning of the year Kevin & Lucy enjoyed painting the dining-room.  Only four years after the extension was built, and we're more than halfway through painting it!  We've been glad to have some visitors this year:  Helen, David and their two girls; Kevin's Mom and Step dad flew over from Texas in the summer (right before the weather turned really hot).  The boys really enjoyed time with grandparents, and the visit was fun-filled (even though we stayed close to home).

Journal Entry for December 6th 1999

Lucy sometimes asks me if I miss America. Mostly I miss not being near the Boys Grandparents and Uncles and Aunts and Cousins. A small thing that I do miss this time of year is the Christmas TV specials. Here in England TV isn't particularly linked to celebrating the Holidays. But I sure do miss My favorite animated specials (Peanuts Christmas--I alwas get teary-eyed when Linus says, "This Christmas Tree is alright Charlie Brown, it just needs a little love < right before bringing the tree to life by putting his blanket around it and a few decorations > ) I also like the Little Drummer Boy and of course, The Grinch who Stole Christmas. I even like watching Frostie the Snowman and Rudolf and The Year Without a Santa Clause. It's all part of my memories of growing up and getting into the festive spirit!
