Cades 2005 Christmas Letter

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Kevin, Lucy & The Boys

Dad & Kris (images in 2005/XMasLetter or something similar)

We all enjoyed the Boys' First American Christmas with Kevin's folks, and we're already getting ready to get our tickets to go back next Christmas (prices are so much cheaper when you book waaay early!).     Hello from Cambridge & from the UK Cades.  Hope you and your loved-ones are all doing well and we hope you have a nice and relaxing Christmastime this year.

Crawley's House: 6 Boys Overnight!

Lucy's old college friends Smiler & Phil invited us to visit them in London, and we all had a ball!  Kevin loved getting to know Phil and "Geek-Out" about computers, the internet, etc.  Sarah's homemade bread inspired Lucy to get into bread-making for herself.

Bonfires, Skater-Boys & Wholesome Games

In this day of health & safety and packaged entertainment, Kevin & Lucy love to see the Boys put down the computer games and play outside.  Drawing and creating their own comic-book, playing a game like Uno or fast-track.      Seeing the sparks fly while The Boys throw wood on a raging bonfire is better than any amusement park ride.

Seaside Windmill

We're so thankful for Kevin's job.  The work is interesting and rewarding.  This year Kevin got paid to "play" with Linux (and tell people about it), plus do Drupal & even a little bit of podcasting!  There are some great people there too.  This year we all went on a weekend trip to the seaside with some Napp colleagues--sleeping in a big windmill!

Kevin’s new hobby

There’s a cool new way to listen to “home-grown radio” on your computer or MP3 player.  It’s called podcasting and Kevin’s been doing one for several months now.  He likes the technical challenge of learning the audio engineering and website stuff.  Interviewing a whole range of people and collecting some really good unknown artists music from the internet is a blast too.  Check out http://FirstPersonShow.net and give it a try.

More Travelling

Kevin made a very special trip to see his Dad in Texas and they celebrated their birthdays together.   It was great seeing uncles, nieces, nephews and a brother or two too. Here in England the whole family had another wonderful stay on Haine-Farm and oh yeah, Kevin & Lucy celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by spending their first five days alone together—in Italy!

So another year is almost gone.  We hope and pray that you enjoy time this year with those you love.  May your health be good and your days and nights be fulfilled.

Love                                                                                                     Kevin, Lucy, Dan, Simon & Ian
